ABOUT US
Discover Our Philosophy
Maple Ridge Childcare Society is a non-profit organization officially forming in 2025. Our team comes with over 30 years of experience offering childcare services within the Maple Ridge community, following our original philosophy that all families are entitled to quality and affordable childcare.

OUR PRINCIPLES
-
We believe that all children have a capacity to achieve their full potential.
-
Our services become an integral part of a child’s family unit, which contributes to their well being and ability to learn.
-
Teachings are catered specific to our children through play, creating an integrated approach to learning where connection can be made to the environment, culture and community.
-
All children deserve to participate in all activities, regardless of their level of ability.
-
Diversity is welcomed, with the importance of teaching children to encourage, accept, understand, value and provide mutual respect for one another.

MAPLE RIDGE CHILDCARE SOCIETY
Dedicated to Nurturing Young Minds
MRCS believes that every family should have access to a quality, inclusive childcare setting for their children which provides a warm, nurturing and safe environment.
Our foundation is based upon the five core areas of development, physical, intellectual, language, social and emotional through appropriate activities and experiences. We strive to meet the diverse needs of children, to promote:
-
A positive attitude towards lifelong learning
-
Independence from child initiated, teacher facilitated learning environments and development of a positive self concept
-
A place where a child has the feeling of belonging to family, community and the world at large.
-
A safe and welcoming environment for children that will stimulate their growth at their own pace.
OUR APPROACH
Holistic Development and Wellbeing
Create a space of learning through play where children can apply their teachings to real life situations.
Provide experiences for individuals or groups to share books, audio-visuals & increase their attention span.
Help children to recognize the rights and property of others and to share, cooperate and solve problems independently.
Introduce the use of number, letters & concepts of time to develop the ability to think logically & make associations.
Stimulate thought processes by providing opportunities to evaluate, apply & recall knowledge, bringing understanding, awareness & curiosity.
Educate on inclusion, indigenous cultures, our environment & community.
Provide a variety free time for creative expression to foster their appreciation for music, arts & culture.
Welcome diversity, prioritizing teaching children to encourage, accept, understand, value & provide mutual respect for one another
